Hah, good tip. I've found certain meditations to be destructive enough,
and I couldn't even handle diet pills (have to ride the brakes). I keep
a picture of Einstein at work from around the time he was seeing the
therapist but it's not the 'even geniuses have bad days' one. Next to it
is a cat grooming a mouse, the connection must be the hair and it never
occurred to me. I placed it in the entry so it's the first thing anyone
sees when entering my desk-work area. You should catch that last Die
Hard film if you haven't, my favorite bald guy seems to do fine without
hair. Teeth are the bane of man's existence, but everyone seems to like
them.

Re: Mind's Eye Re: secure network
My alter ego must be slipping Neil, I am ethically predisposed against
presenting a know-anything persona. Andrew sounds in the know regarding
PGP and web of trust in bitcoin, too bad SSL notaries fell through as an
experimental distribution model, I've been tracking Google from before
2008. Yes it 'could' be heavily used to bypass user privacy controls, I
would trust them about as far as I can throw 'em if I had a reason not
to but who the hell am I? The next McCarthy admin will doubtless have us
eating those words. :p Privacy is about resources, swim in the baseline
traffic flow and spout just enough random nonsense. Us cowboys are crazy
as a minute-an silo with a default password! Be afraid, world... *chuckles
The hibernating urge has been hard to shake this winter. It took all day
to get my office up to 60. But- I've used about 20-30lbs of propane this
year, so my carefully staged combination of fan, heater and cracked door
is a success. Running the gas hose through the door is kindof a minimal
insurance policy, I think I'll cancel my plan to run a conduit.

I do not think england wants to lose Scotland.. who else would support them??

And federate directly with Germany in the 3000 year old tradition of grass porridge eating, rather than face having to re-apply for EU membership. Finding this ruled-out for the 4-man bobsleigh on health and safety grounds trumped up by German judges, some plucky British lass ran it down the mountain for kicks and won gold in the skeleton-creating luge or somesuch.--The Netherlands also won the last winter cricket world cup in Switzerland Allan (I kid not).

Re: Mind's Eye The sound of devolution
Sooner or later one must crash into a wall. The dance is popular in Glasgow Gabby. The lads and lassies do it on the way home after ritual inebriation. Soon, we Scots will line up and sing the devolution dance as we push England into collision with France. I am trying to dissuade my countryfolk on the grounds the sea runs uphill in that direction. And federate directly with Germany in the 3000 year old tradition of grass porridge eating, rather than face having to re-apply for EU membership. Interestingly, most Scots fancy being an independent country in Greater Germany (EU) and most English want free of the Deutschmark (as they see the Euro). Of course, no one is to be allowed to vote for what they want. The sound of devolution in Scotland is the noise made by oil revenues travelling south.

Re: Mind's Eye Hair
Donald Trump looks like a reincarnation of some kind of clay Moll, but not any Aristotle would have moulded. Don't cut your hair while on hallucinogens Ash. My understanding is this turns you into Chris Jenkins. I've not been bothered by losing hair. This cuts down on shampoo. No benign god would let anyone live as long as I have without the option of a third set of teeth though.

Re: Mind's Eye Olympics
Britain would have won but rejected my coaching advice. This was two-fold. First swamp the show with events reliant on miserable drizzle, or second steal all the gold while everyone else is competing to break their necks on ice or snow. Our total budget was only enough to buy a scrap pram frame. Finding this ruled-out for the 4-man bobsleigh on health and safety grounds trumped up by German judges, some plucky British lass ran it down the mountain for kicks and won gold in the skeleton-creating luge or somesuch.
-- The Netherlands also won the last winter cricket world cup in Switzerland Allan (I kid not).

Re: Mind's Eye Re: secure network
I've been in favour of a move for a long time. Like Allan I could probably find something to break after a coach party of bulls had been through the china shop, but I don't like the format here now. Google NL only harass Allan because he is the last person between me and world domination through my instant messaging and VOIP service 'Free Until I've Got You All By The Shorties' - currently run by a teenage stooge under a pseudonym. Google NL is merely a Russian doll in the shell company for later tax dodging and to receive royalties from the range of coffee shops we will open later in the strategy.

Just watched the end of the games and am very surprised the Netherlands came in in 5th place. with a total of 24 medals 8 gold 7 silver and 9 bronze
who would have expected that.. I had nothing to do with it except here is where I live..
Deutschland (Germany) 6th
Switzerland 7th
not bad ranking for small countries

Re: Mind's Eye Hair
My first thought is of birds and rodents developing disorders, barbarism
is the word I think when they start removing hair and other wacky
things. I've heard of people doing that while on hallucinogens. I've
only gotten attracted to tattooing occasionally, the tribal sort.
What about men with long hair? I am considering cutting mine before I
have to tuck it in, heh. It is always tied, but there are a lot of white
streaks that worry me over my mother's genes, but I think they look cool
(just to me).

Re: Mind's Eye Re: Memo check
This should be refined a bit.. On rejection of universals as an
intensive use of mental energies (costly, thus perhaps 'devolutionary'),
the shape of things become clearer to me by exploring the boundaries,
finding where something breaks down, making correlating relations. There
is just a world with infinite relations between an unlimited set of
points (or wave/interference if you prefer), none separable. I've heard
universals with this process intrinsically integrated, ameliorative.
This is rather subjective, as memos tend to be. ;-)
Hope that is somewhat clearer, I am ok with yours too Gabby. And yes I
agree group action is the practical expression of individual liberation.
That's been stuck in my head for weeks for some reason and hope it's
relevant.
