society is heading in the wrong direction as we see the values of our
youth eroded. Somehow despite my gloomy picture related to English
education somehow I feel that overall the past two centuries have
created a more caring western society. However this has been very much
at the expense of the third and fourth world nations whose governments
still seem to pursue power at their peoples expense often supported by
western governments who have been able to move, by investment, their
sweatshops into the developing world.
