I remember skiing at Heavenly(ski resort in Nevada/California) in March years ago with no hat and had to rub sunscreen into where my hair parted. Too warm for ski cap and anything with a brim tends to fly off at high speeds. 

I recommend a doo-rag. Goes well with fancy earrings.
