I do not agree with your view, that "in reality we are neither." I see the body, identity, psychology, mind as valid aspects of being, all as integral to our spark of life as spirit.  I find no reason to invalidate one aspect of being to affirm another.  Integration is not possible without respecting all. The individuation of spirit from the one to many is not possible without our finite aspects so how could they be invalid.  We are matter and spirit, and there is the potential for harmony in all aspects therein.
