Actually when you look at what is happening in physical reactions.. in the repulsive types it can be your body protecting you from a harmful situations. I was raised on a farm and had to deal with repulsive situation more than I would care to remember,, but there were no such reaction.. that said if I get working with waste products my skin gets kind of crawly .. but then I found out later I am allergic to deep fat fry waste.. my body was telling me of the problem before I knew it..
we are taught from childhood by our parents,, like handling dead rats.. and the psychological reactions can be a very health experience protecting us from dangerous situations like deadly bacteria,, my experiences were slightly different my dad was a micro biologist..

Disgust is closely linked to morals in science. I switch off gore and such in disgust - can't understand how anyone watches such exploitative muck. I fart a lot these days as I take metformin. I try not to perform in front of others, but am sometimes disgusted by people who can't understand my disability. It is not generally good to wake up as a person dreaming one was a butterfly at 30,000 feet Allan.Teenagers often disgust me - yet they are more or less bound by their biology until 22 and can't help themselves. How might we justify disgust or frown upon its misuse?
