I love rainbows.. and over the years I have seen many,, the problem is this one never really made sense as it should have disappeared or retreated as we approached.. this one was dead set in the bridge,, we joked about the pot of gold at the rainbows end then we drove into it and through it when we emerged there was no longer a rainbow..
If it was only me that saw this phenomenon I would totally agree with you but my wife also saw the same thing.. that is what made it even more strange,, it was no longer in the 'eye of the beholder'
