Mind's Eye Re: Instinct for survival

It is the 'instinct for survival' that keeps a man struggling even in adversity , there are so many 'attachments' that keeps a man alive and motivates him to keep on fighting. Otherwise , 'death' is the ultimate state where you attain unbreakable peace. There are just so many years that you are alive , and an eternity that you are dead.

Attachment to life is the cause of the desire for immortality and the readiness to believe in an after-life or re-birth. It is an off-shoot of the instinct for survival.
