Tribesmen and Soldiers of Pakistan in 1947………………..from LIFE

A nostalgic past. These tribals and men from KP were undoubtedly
motivated by leadership of Jinnah and nationalism. Today with the
ascending ladder of corruption and miss-perception of exclusivity in
our leadership together with the hell created in tribal lands, I
wonder if we will ever see such motivation and nationalism ever again
??
An old english quote "friends come and go , while enemies accumulate"

In December 1947: Tribesmen & Soldiers Of Pakistan getting ready for
the First Kashmir War in Rawalpindi and in Peshawar……………………….

Moslems gathering in Cunninham Gardens at the Khyber House for the
first Jirga (tribal assembly) at Moslem League meeting, at which a
tribe acceded to the Government of Pakistan

Peshawar: Crowd of Afridi tribesmen getting paid their allowance of 2
