Equal under the law(s)- presuming/hoping, of course, that the laws are
just.//A great coincidence!- Monkey Men have been discovered in
Africa. The Monkees are going to tour the USA. Perhaps I should rescue
a very large wall clock from my attic- hand carved with the anti-see/
hear/speak trio surrounding the face- it will probably wind up in an
auction someday.//I do think one must accept generational differences
with grace and understanding, if possible, don't you? For instance, I
watched Ken Burns' "The War" for a second time instead of the
continuing with the current Olympics even though I was a toddler and
young child at the time of WWII.//At any rate, Orwell said it best-
some are more equal than others (Animal Farm) no matter what language.
Practically all the Liberals I have known send their children to
private or parochial schools with few exceptions (I was one and my
children do not thank me for the "experience" even though the high
school ranks well in a national list). Actually, this "one mankind"
theory is ancient if you trail human history. Lately, I have been
struck at how similar we are to the Middle Ages- one simply has to
juggle a few nouns and verbs- or, same horse, different rider, as
Archytas once said.
