Dear Chora Ashok Gurung,
I'm writing to extend my deepest sympathies to you and your family in Bhutan. I'm so very sad to hear about your beloved father Purna Bahadur Gurung's departure yesterday (09/05/2011) in Siliguri Hospital. I just got a message that his cremation is being done in Bhutan somewhere at Bindu Khola today. He was such a wonderful father.
I had the honor and the pleasure to meet him in Nepal during your marriage after a big gap of 17 years and I was very sorry to hear about his passing away. I had the greatest respect for him and will miss forever his generous nature and sharing his remarkable sense of love. Please let me know whether there is anything I can do to help during this difficult time. You and your family in Bhutan are in my thoughts and prayers. All Santans in Nebraska will light 108 bathi for his departed soul to rest in peace in heaven next Tuesday morning in the Bhutanese Gumba in Nebraska. Santans in Nepal are lighting 108 bathi in Druk Norbu Chholing Gumba on the same day in Nepal. May God give strength to overcome your grief.
