isolation from discourse engendered by the mass media.
A world full of soundbites and populist memes aimed to strike quickly
at the emotions because attention spans are limited.
Is this our present reallity, is it harmful. If so can anything be
done about it.
Education is such a slow process and newspapers and TV seem to 'teach'
more quickly.
It seems that even the educational hierarchy are moving away from
thinking towards knowledge based rote solutions.
Am I too pessimistic.
