Mind's Eye Re: the classics. books

few day on and still thinkin. mind is like a garden yes? well, as garden it gets a weed. okay, whatever someone got shoot or robbed, but soon they just come up everywhere. these weeds or society come from the weeds of the mind. i mean there are so many smart things out there, that make you not want to rob and steal and all things bad. but you have to either learn them yourself, or be taught them, otherwise you are quite ignorantly bliss and troubles will you incur. kinda like karma. karma say do good, and you will get it back. but no one tells the dear boy how he is to do good, and what will make him want to do bad. there are probably other valid questions too. soon a kid finds himself looking at a gun barrel wondering why his life sucks...not from experience, thankfully though, only for knowledge of how to navigate like poet on boat of life. but i guess on the outside people all want to be seen as happy. they are never taught what is happiness. haha. well, far out thoughts here.

i am a kinda young man, almost 25, but i find that no one hardly in my generation is familiar with the classics, such as Henry David T., Aristotle(though i can hardly understand his advance thoughts), and even just regular classics from Alexander Dumas, Thomas Hardy, and of course the great Samuel Johnson. this is just a brief idea of what i mean. and what i mean to discuss is my wonder at why this great chance to learn about human nature and how to best deal with our faults n such, is not recommended anymore. with philosophers, i see the whole bettering yourself thing, and with the novels of classicity(probably not a word) i think prime our mind to... understand true human feeling and great imagination(crime and punishment comes to mind). i bring this up because i see so many problems with our youth in their regards...even tonight i see at a gas station a guy throw a plastic water bottle out of his car on ground like he not care, and he even looked at me like he was askin me to say somethin...-__-. a person like this i hate so much. why have so many young people lost their self decency nowdays? do you try to teach your children to learn the valuable information which has withstood such great test of time, like Confucius or maybe even Eric Hoffer? thanks people.
