i am a kinda young man, almost 25, but i find that no one hardly in my generation is familiar with the classics, such as Henry David T., Aristotle(though i can hardly understand his advance thoughts), and even just regular classics from Alexander Dumas, Thomas--Hardy, and of course the great Samuel Johnson. this is just a brief idea of what i mean. and what i mean to discuss is my wonder at why this great chance to learn about human nature and how to best deal with our faults n such, is not recommended anymore. with philosophers, i see the whole bettering yourself thing, and with the novels of classicity(probably not a word) i think prime our mind to... understand true human feeling and great imagination(crime and punishment comes to mind). i bring this up because i see so many problems with our youth in their regards...even tonight i see at a gas station a guy throw a plastic water bottle out of his car on ground like he not care, and he even looked at me like he was askin me to say somethin...-__-. a person like this i hate so much. why have so many young people lost their self decency nowdays? do you try to teach your children to learn the valuable information which has withstood such great test of time, like Confucius or maybe even Eric Hoffer? thanks people.
