Well is it possible to dream the impossible dream.. there is always hope but then I also know people really do not change..
The real sad part of it is that it is really only a very small number of people causing and preventing the good from happening

Compared to what many have gone through this summer, I feel fortunate.
I didn't lose power for one thing and I didn't go outside for another.
Also was not flooded as many have been. God bless the line workers
working in the heat and debris of fallen trees- the many who lost
everything with no insurance coverage, etc. it will be a long recovery
for many. Might have survival guilt but I get that daily from the
news, anyway.
It has not been that long ago when common people had no right to
criticize anyone of authority and still operates in many countries and
cultures. Even our own despite freedom of speech. So I have no answers
or cures. I do think there are good people who try to make a
difference and improvement but there are also many who are motivated
by selfish or false goals- like scum rising to the top of soup broth
in the kettle.
You might have been outraged by highwaymen or pirates, etc. Why did
some think that the modern age would change human character? Because
of machines and technology? I think the 20th C. was ghastly when you
think of the war dead alone. But we are told to list the advances
instead- some of which have already turned negative.
End of morning grumble. :-)
