..now that is a subject worth having a discussion about!

When I examine the situation the US economy is in (not to mention all the countries which have followed along with the US),

I keep having to ask myself;  What is the standard of value?

We had gold to tie the dollar back to until Nixon...  Not that I would advocate doing so again, but I think we are more comfortable

with contrived systems(like the economy) when we can anchor it to something physical.  I am at least.

How about the calorie?  We seem to value them a lot in this country!  :-)
