[Mind's Eye] Re: Raison d'etre - can we find one

It is my belief that we live in a great place, the best, worst, and even the just right one. Of all hypothetical worlds we live in one where the intricate balance of forces present a natural order, thus I am, here and now. One where I may choose many personal and intimate associations and relationships of varying significance to that order, and am in awe at the immensity of it's intricate interconnections yet cold impersonality of fate(s).

At times I think we are doing exactly what we should, it all has meaning and we are serving that purpose. But, what exactly it is we are doing is quite a question! Some things we can do well, some fruits are beyond measure, and they tend to radiate a wide spectrum. Just as I think there is a key to opening an individual I believe there is a similar one in opening humanity, and we are seeking it out through civilizations, cultures, individuals. "Know thyself." It is inspiring to consider what fruits of civilization could be beyond measure, and it stretches the imagination. Another more inspiring notion is that civilization could work well, considering what it would look like, and what it might take to get us there. That means there is plenty challenge, achievement, and room for growth in everything we are and do for an indefinite amount of time. What we do well tends to fit that idea in my opinion, and successively promotes the common good, promoting each individual to experience greatness and excellence within themselves.

Guessing I shouldn't complicate the matter tonight, so I'll leave the philosophy for another time.
